How to Play Find The Animals

Checked

Find The Animals [280] is an open scavenger hunt on Roblox where you search for hidden animal models across seven confirmed biomes. You do not manage combat stats or inventory weight. Progress comes down to visual observation, map navigation, and using morph shapes to bypass physical barriers.

To inspect individual regional rosters, check /biomes. For specific puzzle triggers, see /guides/puzzles-and-chests.

The loop in four moves

Your entire gameplay follows a clear four-step cycle:

  1. Spot: Scan pond edges, roof ridges, tree hollows, and wall alcoves for animal models.
  2. Touch: Walk directly into the animal model to register your discovery.
  3. Register: Inspect the three-line popup banner displaying name and rarity. The animal enters your permanent Index, and the HUD counter increments by one.
  4. Morph: Click Morph! if the creature offers physical traits you need right now, such as a compact body or flight.

Repeating this cycle builds your count toward the 70-animal merge unlock and late-game milestones.

Reading the counter and the popup

Your main interface tools are the top HUD counter and the discovery popup:

  • HUD Counter: Displayed at the top of your screen as Found: x/... (recorded as Found: x/240 on earlier builds). This counter increases by one with each new animal you touch.
  • Discovery Popup: Touching a new target opens a three-line modal showing Animal Name, Rarity Tier (from Common to OG), and an interactive Morph! button.
  • Index Hints: Opening your Index displays a one-line clue for every unfound entry. A recorded example from the Farm biome reads: It climbed all the way up a farm silo. Check these clues whenever your search stalls.

Morphs and the gates they open

Morphing is a core traversal mechanic recorded across official gameplay notes. Morphing alters your avatar collision box and movement physics:

  • Size Gates: Certain entryways feature bars marked Smaller Animal Required!. Standard avatars collide with these grates and cannot pass. Equipping a tiny morph lets you walk through the gap. Examples include Mandrill behind cage bars in Grass and Cerberus in an underwater cage in Snow.
  • Water Barriers: Submerged caverns require aquatic morphs to maintain swim control without floating upward.
  • Canopy Perches: High perches in the Treehouse canopy or elevated barn roofs require winged morphs with flight capabilities to land on high collision points.

If a path is blocked by iron bars, do not search for keys. Switch to a small morph instead.

Rarity, and what it does not mean

Every animal belongs to one of eight tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Secret, or OG. Keep these distinctions in mind:

  • Rarity dictates developer product pricing, ranging from Common (R$19) to OG (R$439).
  • Rarity indicates how complex an animal is to locate or construct through merging.
  • Rarity does not grant combat strength or passive point generation.
  • Rarity does not allow you to bypass physical size gates automatically.

A small Common mouse fits through narrow cage bars that a large Legendary dragon cannot enter. Hitbox size depends strictly on the animal model, not its tier.

Your first finds

The quickest way to start is sweeping confirmed ground targets in the starting Grass biome:

  1. Mouse: Found around the central pond and beach umbrellas in the Grass biome. Collecting it provides your immediate small morph.
  2. Turtle: Resting on the open ground near the Grass pond and beach umbrellas.
  3. Crab: Located along the open ground near the Grass pond and beach umbrellas.
  4. Butterfly: Positioned by the beach umbrellas near the Grass pond.
  5. Mandrill: Positioned behind cage bars marked Smaller Animal Required!. Equip your small morph to slip through the bars and touch it.

These five verified finds secure your early collection foundation and supply the small-morph utility needed to access restricted areas.

What to ignore in your first session

New players often get distracted by mechanics requiring prerequisites. In your opening run, safely ignore:

  • The Merge Machine: Locked behind a sign reading Find Animals To Unlock Merging! 0/70. Visit /merges only after hitting 70 finds.
  • The Biome Vault: Requiring six regional gems, the vault stays locked until you explore deep into late zones like Cave and Snow.
  • Rebirth: The rebirth system sits at the end of the collection track. Check /guides/rebirth only when your progression bar nears full capacity.
  • Two-player pressure plates: The 2 Friends plate for Minotaur requires a second player. Focus on single-player finds if exploring alone.
